Constantly catching a cold? Get to the root of the problem – in the gut!

Do you constantly have a cold and are literally fed up with it? Then I would like to introduce you to something new.

Most people who have a constant cold have already tried almost every conceivable medication and home remedy on themselves – usually without lasting success. Although the remedies for coughs, colds and sore throats provide some relief or improvement, the condition of constantly having a cold remains.

It feels like every infection that flies past you is inhaled and then lived through. People often say “Well …. everyone is sick at the moment. So it’s no wonder that I got it again ….”. But just because everyone else around you seems to have a cold, it doesn’t automatically mean that you have to go through it too.

As a result, some people are ill at least every 4-6 weeks – they have a cold all the time.

Constantly having a cold robs you of all your energy, you don’t even dare to take time off because it already seems unbelievable and you’re afraid of losing your job or that your colleagues at work will start to gossip.

And as soon as you’ve recovered from the one infection and are just about to start exercising again, your nose starts running again and the fun starts all over again.

“It’s exasperating!” as some people say. But what to do?

The immune system and the gut

I would like to leave out the usual cold remedies and household remedies here. You probably already know them anyway. They are, of course, very effective in alleviating individual symptoms such as a cold, cough or sore throat. But this article is about trying something new.

Firstly, around 80 % of our immune system, i.e. immune cells and lymphatic tissue, are located in and “behind” the intestinal mucosa. This means that it should become clear here at the latest that it makes sense to start therapeutic treatment there in order to permanently regulate the immune system if you constantly have a cold.

The cells of the immune system, which are located in/behind the intestinal mucosa, are not only responsible for the defense in the intestine, but they also train our immune cells of the entire body. With the help of intestinal cleansing the layers of the intestine, the intestinal flora and the intestine-associated immune system are treated and brought into balance.

What’s more, our intestinal mucosa acts as a kind of barrier and generally only allows substances to pass that are to be absorbed via the bloodstream, i.e. nutrients. If the intestinal mucosa is too permeable (leaky gut), substances that would not normally be able to pass through in a healthy state are able to pass through and the immune system reacts more strongly to eliminate these substances. If the intestinal mucosa is not therapeutically “sealed” again, a permanent irritation of the immune system takes place.

It is therefore not surprising that people constantly catch colds, as the immune system already has plenty to do due to the permeable mucous membrane.

The immune system and micronutrients

On the other hand, the fact that you constantly have a cold helps Vitamin Dwhich many people don’t know, helps you to get through an infection faster and more harmlessly and also stabilizes the immune system via the intestines so that there are significantly fewer infections – especially respiratory infections. So if you really do have a constant cold, I would recommend having your blood vitamin D levels checked and taking a high dose of vitamin D to replenish your stores.

Zinc can also help infections to heal more quickly thanks to multiple starting points. It is only important that you use zinc lozenges (ideally in combination with vitamin C) so that it can act directly on the mucous membrane.

Conclusion: Having a cold all the time is not something you should put up with. Why not give it a try with intestinal cleansing to tackle the problem at the source.
