Ovo zahteva UVB zra\u010denje i UV indeks ve\u0107i ili jednak 3. To prakti\u010dno nije slu\u010daj u Nema\u010dkoj izme\u0111u novembra i marta. Mo\u017eete provjeriti UV indeks za svaki dan na internetu ako \u017eelite.  <\/p>\n<p>Previtamin D se zatim formira u ko\u017ei \u2013 sa UV indeksom ve\u0107im ili jednakim 3 \u2013 sun\u010devim UVB zracima uz pomo\u0107 7-dehidrokolesterola. Previtamin D se zatim pretvara u vitamin D pomo\u0107u telesne temperature. <\/p>\n<p>Vitamin D se jo\u0161 naziva i holekalciferol.<\/p>\n<p>Zatim dolazi do jetre putem krvotoka i pretvara se u kalcidiol. Kalcidiol (25-OH vitamin D) je vrijednost koja se mjeri u krvi u laboratoriji radi utvr\u0111ivanja statusa. <\/p>\n<p>U bubrezima se kalcidiol pretvara u kalcitriol \u2013 hormon vitamina D. Me\u0111utim, otkriveno je da se pretvaranje u hormon vitamina D de\u0161ava i u mnogim drugim organima i sistemima. <\/p>\n<p>Hormon vitamin D je zapravo aktivni vitamin D u tijelu, koji djeluje i
